BCCS Expands Syringe Services Program (SSP) Locations; Updated Statewide Mobile Outreach Schedule

Last year, BCCS announced the expansion of its Syringe Services Program (SSP) to Kent and Sussex counties following a funding award to provide services throughout the state. BCCS is excited to now announce another increase in SSP locations and services, including additional sites in Kent and Sussex counties.

BCCS is dedicated to supporting Delaware in reducing the spread of diseases associated with intravenous drug use. SSP offers health and social services to injection drug users and the general community, helps prevent the spread of HIV/AIDS, and provides outreach for high-risk individuals.

SSP services include: Rapid HIV and Hepatitis C testing, safe sex kits, pregnancy testing, flu shots, syringe exchange, referrals for drug treatment, and more. The program operates from our Treatment Centers and our mobile Community Services van that travels to strategic locations throughout Delaware.
