Ron is a strategic and tactical, results-focused finance executive and financial management leader who specializes in both public and private sector fiscal management, policy and procedure development, strategic analysis, and business relations. He has produced strong and sustainable profit gains, while implementing financial controls, investigating internal operations, and providing expertise in both change management and turn-around situations, returning businesses to solvency while restoring a positive public image.
Dr. Adriana Navas, MPH, DO, AOBFP, AOAAM | Medical Director
Dr. Navas is a native of Uruguay, but she completed most of her education in California. She graduated Valedictorian from the College of Science at Cal Poly Pomona with a BS in Microbiology, completed Medical School at Western University of Health Sciences, School of Medicine in Pomona, and obtained a master’s degree in Public Health (MPH) from Loma Linda University.
Dr. Navas completed her family medicine residency in St. Joseph’s Hospital in Philadelphia, and she is board certified by the American Osteopathic Board of Family Physicians (AOBFP). She is also board certified in addiction medicine.
Dr. Navas is bilingual in English/Spanish, bringing to BCCS many years of expertise in the field of addiction medicine as well as experience as Medical Director, coupled with a passion for work with disadvantaged populations and a desire to help mitigate the impact of the opioid epidemic.

Matthew has over 20 years of experience in quality assurance/performance improvement, patient safety, risk management, and regulatory compliance in the behavioral and mental health fields. A former Performance Improvement and Patient Safety Coordinator for Nemours, and the former Director of Performance Improvement and Risk Management at Horizon Health and Psychiatric Solutions, Inc., Matthew has extensive administrative and operational experience working with both adult and adolescent populations in inpatient and outpatient settings.
In addition to post-secondary education, Matthew is an NAHQ Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) and a CIHQ Healthcare Accreditation Certified Professional (HACP), and is skilled in system and policy design, data and risk analysis, and survey management.

With more than 25 years of experience in for profit and not-for-profit organizational settings, including healthcare, media, and manufacturing, Denise leads the Human Resources Department at Brandywine Counseling & Community Services. In this role, she is responsible for talent acquisition, performance management, employee relations, succession planning, and HR compliance from a legal and funding source standpoint. She is also involved in staff education and the organization’s learning management system. Her role requires both a strategic and an operations focus, at which she excels.
Denise holds a Bachelor of Science in Journalism/Communications from the University of Bridgeport in CT, a Master of Science in Human Resources Management from Wilmington University, and is certified as a Senior Professional in Human Resources by the Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM).

Adar brings 20 years of substance abuse and mental health experience to Brandywine Counseling and Community Services, including extensive knowledge in program development and compliance, staff development and training, and community outreach.
The former Executive Director of the Greater Philadelphia Asian Social Services Center, and former Program and Quality Assurance Director for the Soar Corporation Recovery Center – an outpatient methadone treatment center – Adar has a Bachelor of Science in Human Services from Springfield College, and a Master of Business Administration, Strategic Leadership from Rosemont College.

Nikki manages nursing services across all Brandywine Counseling & Community Services locations. A member of the BCCS nursing staff since 2010, Nikki brings to the Nursing Program Manager role both a passion for helping clients on their journey to recovery, and invaluable relationships she has built working with both medical and clinical members of our treatment team.
Nikki also brings extensive acute care experience from her time as a staff and charge nurse in the Hemodialysis and Stroke Treatment units at Christiana Care Health System (CCHS). She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from Wilmington University.

Dionne provides oversight for prevention, early intervention, and outreach services at Brandywine Counseling & Community Services. She was previously a team member at BCCS from 2011 to 2014, where she excelled in her roles as an adult case manager, adolescent therapeutic counselor, and leader in the Prevention Department. Her experience also includes four years as a Program Manager with the Delaware Prevention Coalition. Dionne earned her Master of Science in Psychology from Capella University.

Monica has worked as a development/fundraising professional in the Delaware non-profit and social service arena for almost twenty-five years. She has dedicated her career to serving Delaware’s socially- and economically-marginalized communities and their families as a development professional at various community-based, non-profit, social service agencies.
Monica has a proven track record in raising new and sustainable funding for programs related to affordable housing and homelessness, mental health and substance abuse treatment, truancy, comprehensive youth development programming, foster care, re-entry & social justice, veterans affairs, pre-natal health care, early-childhood education, and workforce development. Underlying all of her experience is a passion for social justice and equality and a refusal to ignore the ravages of inter-generational poverty and its root causes.

Aseia has over 25 years of experience in the industry of social service, healthcare, and behavioral health, and an extensive supervisory background with comprehensive knowledge in nearly all phases of financial accounting. She has a keen ability to organize and apply effective accounting procedures to consistently achieve accurate results, and specializes in budget preparation, general/ledger, audit procedures, third-party billing management, compliance monitoring, financial reporting, and cash flow projections.
