Drop In Center | Milford

Brandywine Counseling and Community Services’ (BCCS) Milford Drop-in Center is a safe, indoor space for individuals in Kent and Sussex Counties homeless and in-need population, including those struggling with addiction and/or mental illness.

Staffed by Peer Recovery Specialists, the Milford Drop In Center is spacious enough to accommodate families, including children, and also has space for group education and support sessions. Guests can sit and enjoy a cup of coffee, a hot meal, and access to two full bathrooms with showers, laundry services, and a clothes closet with donated items for adults and children.

There are also computers for job searches and training, and assistance with completing employment applications and resume writing is available. Other services available during designated times include free and confidential HIV, Hepatitis C (HCV), and pregnancy testing, and the Syringe Services Program (SSP).

Often, the Drop In Center is the first point of contact for an individual, and staff will assist in developing wellness plans and crisis plans, and linking the individual to other needed services offered at BCCS and other community-based providers, including social services, substance use treatment, and mental health treatment.
